Hi Nick :)
Sorry for the delay in the response. What is is water quality like? (ie, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates) and what sort of set up do you have? Try soaking his food in garlic juice to stimulate his appetite. And I'm afraid that you can't leave him in with a female unless you want to divide the tank. Betta's will breed all year when properly conditioned and not too old. I hope that helps you out. Feel free to come back with more questions. Also for more great advice check out fishforum at Fishlore.com :)
Good luck with you're betta kids :)

I've been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!

Cheers

Hi Lindsay :)

Glad you've found my blog. It sounds like you've got some gorgeous boys there :)
Sorry to hear that you've lost your old boy though :(
Once the spawn happens I'll be keeping close track of it on the site and when the little spit fires are ready for their new homes (probably around the 3 month mark) I'll be keeping you in mind for sure :)

Hi, my name is Lindsay and I have recently moved to Saskatoon.

I have 5 bettas:

- A Green Mustard Gas Crowntail,
- A red Crowntail,
- A Cambodian plakat male,
- A Black Blue Lace double tail,
- A Metallic Green black face butterfly delta tail. (might carry the dragon gene)

I have been looking for an HM for a while (avoiding shipping) I will be looking for a new veiltail tonight to my eldest betta (4.5 years old) passed away Yesterday.

I hope all goes well with your spawning in may. And I would be intersted in purchasing an HM or two. I was also considering breeding this summer then i moved now I no longer have the room for now.
